 I was delighted to take part in the St Peter’s and St Simon’s Church Barbecue in Partick’s Mansfield Park. The weather was kind and the event was a great success – it’s superb to see the new Mansfield Park being used as a real asset for the local community.
We are certainly in the summer fetes and gala day season. It is surely a sign that we have thriving local communities that so many events are taking place all over the constituency.  I am always pleased to support the many local community groups and enthusiastic individuals who do so much work in our local communities. I am so pleased that the weather has been good for most of the events so far this year.
I also attended the Holyrood Crescent Gardens Summer Fete, organized by the local residents' association, was very busy and the puppet show was very popular with children and adults.
