Today (8 September) I had the pleasure of meeting with resdients of the Shiskine Place sheltered housing development in our constituency.
We had a very valuable discussion about local and national issues from pedestrain crossings to the global economy. It’s good to talk with local people about their concerns and opinions, I value the chance to listen first hand to Glasgow North's senior citizens. I believe that every member of the community, regardless of age, has a valuable role in speaking up on the issues of our time. It was clear that the residents at Shiskine Place had important concerns about the future for the next generation of the community, and I share that strong passion for ensuring a better future for young people. The residents were pleased to hear about the Labour Government support for jobs, education, training and young people who are looking for work.
