HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) was formed on the 18 April 2005, following the merger of Inland Revenue and HM Customs and Excise Departments. It is the job of HMRC to ensure the correct tax is paid at the right time, whether this relates to payment of taxes received by the department or distributing entitlements to tax credits or certain benefits. 		210

The UK Border Agency (UKBA) is responsible for securing the United Kingdom borders and controlling migration in the United Kingdom. UKBA manages border control for the United Kingdom, enforcing immigration and customs regulations. UKBA also consider applications for permission to enter or stay in the United Kingdom, citizenship and asylum. Formerly 'Borders and Immigation Agency' (BIA), formerly the 'Immigration and Nationality Direcotrate' (IND). 		236

Jobcentre Plus provides help and advice, provides job opporunities to people seeking work and administers benefits for unemployed workers and those who cannot work. You can search through job listings on this website. Jobcentre Plus is an executive agency of the DWP. 		211

The Pension Service provdes the State Pension and Pension Credit and can advise and help on related entitlements and services. With offices across the country, the service provides financial support - Disability Living Allowance, Attendance Allowance, Carer’s Allowance and Vaccine Damage Payments. Pension, Disability and Carers Service (PDCS) is an executive agency of the DWP. 		241

The CSA is for parents who live apart from their children to contribute financially to their upkeep by paying child maintenance. 		217
7   Link   Ofcom - Office of Communications
An independent organisation which regulates the UK’s broadcasting, telecommunications and wireless communications sectors. We also set and enforce rules on fair competition between companies in these industries. 		160
8   Link   Ofgem - Office of the Gas and Electricity Markets
Ofgem is the Office of the Gas and Electricity Markets. Protecting consumers is our first priority. We do this by promoting competition, wherever appropriate, and regulating the monopoly companies which run the gas and electricity networks. 		173
9   Link   Office of Public Sector Information
OPSI provides the Click-Use system for obtaining a licence to re-use Crown copyright and public sector material through an online licensing process and is responsible for the Information Asset Register (IAR) that lists information assets held by the UK Government with a focus on unpublished material. OPSI also provides a secretariat to the Advisory Panel on Public Sector Information (APPSI), which advises Ministers on how best to encourage the re-use of public sector information.
